Uganda's boldest bean, and the one that changes minds about Robusta. Deep chocolate, full body, a velvety crema — and no bitterness anywhere in it.
Almost everything you have been told about Robusta was true of bad Robusta: cheap lots, careless processing, roasted dark enough to bury the flaws. Specialty Robusta is a different crop entirely, and Uganda grows the best of it. The country is Africa's largest Robusta producer and the origin behind a global re-rating of the species.
Pearl Bold is a single-origin specialty Robusta roasted medium-dark to bring out deep cocoa, roasted nut and a sweetness most people do not expect. It carries roughly twice the caffeine of an Arabica and pulls a crema that outperforms most espresso blends. Bold enough for a machine, smooth enough to drink black.
